Deploying Before Deciding: Why AI Is Outrunning Its Own Guardrails

Operators across heavy industries are deploying AI faster than they can govern it, and readiness itself is becoming the decision to make.

Senior operators from mining, payments, defense, engineering, and supply chain shared one uncomfortable pattern: AI is already live in their organizations, but strategy and guardrails are not. Deployment is running ahead of governance, with no formal AI strategy to anchor it. The operators treated quality and verification as the obvious unsolved risk.
