On the customer side, operators said agentic AI that nags or intrudes erodes trust fast, while agents that visibly serve the customer build loyalty. A publishing operator raised the unresolved question of IP ownership when an author's AI and a publisher's AI negotiate, with vendors holding the underlying data. A customer service operator argued that keeping a human element differentiates a firm from the majority automating poorly. Across these points, the common thread is that adoption is racing ahead of policy, verification, and ownership clarity. Executives should treat AI literacy and governance as leadership work, set boundaries on agent behavior, secure data and IP rights in vendor terms, and update recording and confidentiality rules before incidents force reactive changes.
